Ex Dual International Athlete (Athletics and Bobsleigh) Liz Carter has over 20 years’ experience in fitness and elite sport.


Liz has received over 30 caps competing for her country at the highest level in 2 sports and has worked in the Fitness Industry, in both the UK and America, over a 20 year span. Liz has the skills and knowledge to help motivate and ensure any customer can achieve their fitness and training goals quickly and effectively.


Liz believes Personal Training can improve every aspect of a customer’s wellbeing and by using tried and tested training techniques and tailoring workouts to suit the individual, they can get the results they want quickly.

About Liz

Liz has a passion for sport and has been involved in various activities throughout her life including, Athletics, Swimming, Squash, Bobsleigh and Strong Woman events.

At the age of 18 years Liz won a sports scholarship for athletics to an American University. For the next 5 years she studied and competed at a collegiate level and became a 2 time All American. 

It was also at the age of 18 Liz was first selected to compete for the Great British Athletic Team in the throwing event of the Hammer. For the next 10 year Liz trained as a professional athlete and competed for Team GB at various games/event across the world.

In 2002 Liz also took up the Winter Olympic sport of Bobsleigh and was twice British Champion. Liz competed numerous times for Team GB in Bobsleigh including the World Championships in Austria.

More recently Liz has competed in and Won numerous Strong Woman events across the South East area of England. 

​

By using all these years of intensive

training and experiences of competing at an elite level in two sports, Liz can ensure that customers harvest their true potential and achieve their goals no matter how great or small.

Liz's Qualifications

  • REPS accredited Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training

  • REPS accredited Level 2 Gym Instructor

  • Diploma in Sports Massage

  • First Aid at Work Certificate

  • Kettlebell Instructor Qualification

  • Pad Work Training Qualification

  • BSC in Psychology

  • MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology

  • Member of REPS (Registration of Exercise Professionals)

Norse PT, in conjunction with other local businesses, runs a number of short intensive courses and events for specific areas of Fitness. For example courses such as: a Couch 2 5K Running course & an Introduction 2 Women’s Strength Training course.
